No better way to complete your Balkan Erasmus experience than with a unique journey to the heart of Bosnia & Herzegovina! We saw Belgrade in Serbia, Sofia in Bulgaria, Thessaloniki in Greece and now we’ll round up your Balkan touring with Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- Drina River Cruise and Night tour of Sarajevo with a local licenced guide (€10 +€15 per person): Relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Visegrad’s surroundings.
You can pick one of the three packages (from 25, 70 or 90 euros), and must let us know which one you have picked in advance. (Payment for the additional packages is done directly in the bus)
🕒 Full Itinerary
Day 1: Friday, 06.12.2024
🚌 Departure from Shtip than Skopje (around 21:30 from Shtip, 22:30 from Skopje – you’ll be notified on the correct departure times ).
🚐 Overnight travel through Serbia, with short breaks along the way.
Day 2: Saturday, 07.12.2024
🌅 Morning arrival in Sarajevo.
🕵️♂️ Guided city tour with a local guide:
- Start at Vijecnica (City Hall).
- Visit the site of Franz Ferdinand’s assassination, Hotel Europe, Tito Square, Baščaršija, and more!
🍽️ Free time to explore the city and enjoy lunch.
🏨 Hotel check-in in the afternoon.
🌃 Optional: Night Tour of Sarajevo Start at 19:00 in front of the Hotel with a local guide. After the tour, a visit of the Avaz Twist Tower, and a stop at a Sarajevo viewpoint.
Day 3: Sunday, 08.12.2024
🍳 Breakfast at the hotel (7:30 AM).
✨ Day Trip Excursions (Bosnian/Historical Package):
- Visit Tito’s Bunker in Konjic, a Cold War relic!
- Stop at Jablanica, the site of the Battle of Neretva (1943), where the famous movie Battle for the Wounded was filmed 🎥.
- Explore Vrelo Buna, the second-largest spring in Bosnia, with 40,000 liters of water per second 🌊. Free time and a departure for Mostar at a set time.
- Guided walking tour of Mostar, including:
- Stari Most bridge (UNESCO World Heritage site).
- The cobblestone streets of Kujundžiluk, packed with souvenir shops and local crafts.
🍷 3h Free time for shopping, exploring, or simply soaking in the atmosphere.
🚐 Return to Sarajevo in the evening.
🍺 Optional pub visit in the Austro-Hungarian part of the Sarajevo city.
Day 4: Monday, 09.12.2024
🍳 Breakfast at the hotel.
🔎 Morning visit to the Bosnian Pyramids near Visoko:
- Discovered by Dr. Semir Osmanagić, these mysterious formations predate recorded history!
- Explore the Pyramid of the Sun, Moon, and Dragon, and learn about their unique healing powers 🌀. See the underground rooms and the blue lake inside the pyramids, where you can drink from the water with bio powers. Even Novak Djokovic frequents the pyramids for their healing and regenerative powers because of the high levels of ionisation.
🌿 Alternatively: Free time to relax at the hotel for those not joining the pyramid visit before they are picked up for the Visegrad visit.
🚐 Final stop – Visegrad:
- Take a cruise on the Drina River (optional).
- Visit the UNESCO-listed Mehmed Pasha Sokolović Bridge – a true architectural gem!
- Explore Andrićgrad (Stone town), a cultural hub inspired by Ivo Andrić’s novel The Bridge on the Drina.
- Free time for lunch.
🚌 Departure for Macedonia in the evening.
🌌 Return to Skopje and Shtip in the early morning hours on Tuesday.
