POLICE REGISTRATION AFTER ARRIVAL

Once entering the country, you need to register yourself at the local police station within 48 hours. You just need your passport and the correct address where you’ll be residing.

Once at the police ask for the Application for residence or “Priyava” and fill it out as shown on the images. The Police will keep the first part and give you back the second signed/stamped. This card (Receipt) you should keep in your passport.

If during your mobility you need to exit the country for a trip or to visit your home country, you need to go back to the Police station you went before in order to “sign-out” with this Receipt and also bring it with you when exiting the country (airport or border crossing).

After you settle down, it is best to start the process for your Temporary Residence Permit (as early as you can as it can take a while.
